The Washington Football Team is set to take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 14. They've been on a winning streak recently, but their defense has taken hit after hit. They've already lost Chase Young for the season, but it seems more edge rushers are out as well.

According to Ian Rapoport, Montez Sweat is on the COVID-19 reserve list, while James Smith-Williams and Casey Toohill join him. That's two key starters and depth players missing from Washington's defensive line.

This bodes well for the Cowboys, as they won't have to go up against Washington's front seven. This is the strongest asset of their defense and it suddenly has vanished due to COVID-19. It'll be interesting to see how they adjust, as this Football Team is in a must-win situation on Sunday.

Washington might have to rely on their offense in this matchup. Luckily for them, Taylor Heinicke and Antonio Gibson have come alive as of late. The Football Team has generated a well-balanced offense which has helped them win four straight games.

The defensive game plan will likely change a tad. Washington hopes to bother Dak Prescott throughout the contest but that will be much more difficult with so many pass rushers sitting out. We might see Prescott sit comfortably in the pocket all day, which could be detrimental to the Football Team.

They'll have to focus on stopping the run and emphasize their pass coverage. If Washington can force Dallas into third and long situations, they should be able to withstand the Cowboys' high-flying offense.
