Game four is underway as the St. Louis Blues will remain hosts for one more game as they take on the Minnesota Wild. The series is currently 2-1 in favor of the Wild. The Blues won game one on the road and haven't been able to get past a tough Wild defense since then, losing games two and three. This is their moment to get back into the series and tie it up rather than going down 3-1. With that, it’s time to continue our NHL odds series with a Wild-Blues prediction and pick.

Why The Wild Can Cover The Spread/Win

The Minnesota Wild have been playing fantastic so far in this series as they now sit in the driver's seat going up 2-1 on the Blues. In their first three games, the Wild had out-shot and out-chanced the Blues in high-danger chances. Although, they're not the best at preventing them on the road, which is where they find themselves again today. The Wild have a reputation for playing very well on home ice and questionable on the road, but that didn't stop them from dominating game three in St. Louis.

Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has also been playing very well after losing game one. He's found his rhythm and the Blues have no answers right now. It'd be shocking to see Cam Talbot take over the net right now when Fleury is playing this well, but possibly when Fleury gets a hiccup in his game and is responsible for a loss, Talbot will be able to swoop in and help the Wild make a deep playoff run.

Why The Blues Can Cover The Spread/Win

The St. Louis Blues started the series off with a bang, winning 4-0 in game one, taking the lead. Since then, they've had some great scoring chances and fantastic looks offensively, but just could not get the puck in the back of the net. Now down 2-1 in the series, the Blues are going to have to step up their game tonight if they want to get back into this and even up the series. The defense will certainly be a larger priority for the Blues moving forward as their goaltending is slowly starting to become an issue as Ville Husso has a .847 save percentage for games two and three after a shutout in game one. He should be getting another start here in this matchup, but I would not be surprised if we see Jordan Binnington get his playoff debut soon.

Final Wild-Blues Prediction & Pick

Through the first three contests in this series, the Wild have played the better game. The Blues looked like they were just half a step behind and couldn't get a puck in the net fast enough. With that said, the Blues are still very talented and could possibly still win the series. Regardless, I think these two will take it to a game seven, just have to see how they get there. I don't love this pick, in terms of value considering both teams are so evenly matched, but give me the Blues at home. I think they bounce back after a loss last time out and get the win today to tie the series before heading back into Minnesota. If the Wild come away with a win here, I'd be looking for them to close it out in game 5 at home.
