Nick Foles: 3 bold predictions for the Jaguars QB in Week 12 vs. Titans

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Nick Foles had to knock off some rust in his first start back from his broken collarbone in Week 11 against the Indianapolis Colts. He gets another chance in Week 12 against the Tennessee Titans to get the Jaguars’ season back on track, but it’s not going to be easy.

Will Foles step up to the table and have a big game or will he struggle? Let’s break down three bold predictions this weekend for Foles.

3. Foles completes 70 percent of his passes

Even though Foles didn’t look great in the team’s last game against the Colts, he did complete 70.2 percent of his passes. Who knows how exactly Foles feels right now in terms of confidence, but it should be expected the play calling is going to try and get him some confidence early.

Look for a lot of easy passes to get the Jaguars moving the ball up the field and to get Foles rolling early. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Foles complete 75 percent of his passes, but we will go conservative and predict at least 70 percent.

2. Foles throws for over 315 yards

Even though Foles did have some struggles in the Colts game, he did throw for 296 yards and there is no reason in this game he won’t go for over 315 yards.

On the season, the Titans’ pass defense has not been good, giving up 256 yards per game which is 22nd in football. The Titans have been better against the run this year and it should be expected they are going to try to take away the run early.

If the Jaguars want to win this game, it’s going to come down to Foles passing and he should be slinging the ball all over the field.

1. Foles takes back control of the team

Until the Jaguars win a game, the talk around the team is going to be if the team made the wrong decision going away from Gardner Minshew.

The Titans have been okay this season but they are beatable, especially when the Jaguars defense makes the plays they need to.

This is going to be a close game, and Foles is going to get the opportunity to make a play late, and that’s exactly what he is going to do. Look for Foles to lead the team down the field and get a touchdown to win the game.

After this showing there are going to be no questions, Foles is the quarterback of this team.
