Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles is a win away from achieving legendary status in the City of Brotherly Love. But even if the Eagles fail to beat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, it’s safe to say that his journey alone to football’s biggest stage has already made him an unforgettable figure in Philly sports history. After all, Foles is currently the owner of best postseason passer rating in NFL history, per Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk:

Foles has a passer rating of 122.1 through two games this postseason, the best in the NFL. And when you add in Foles’ numbers from his start in the 2013 postseason, Foles now has the highest postseason passer rating in NFL history. Through three career playoff games, Foles has completed 72 of 96 passes for 793 yards, with five touchdowns and no interceptions. That works out to a 116.4 passer rating.

For the record, Smith laid out the complete list of quarterbacks in NFL history who have at least 75 pass attempts and still have a playoffs passer rating of 100 or better. Of course, Foles tops them all.

116.4 Nick Foles
112.0 Jeff Hostetler
104.8 Bart Starr
102.8 Kurt Warner
100.8 Matt Ryan
100.7 Drew Brees

Nick Foles has been a superb replacement under center for the currently injured Carson Wentz, particularly this postseason. In two games since the playoffs kicked off, Foles has racked up 598 passing yards on 77.8 completion percentage with three touchdowns and zero fumbles nor interceptions. Against the vaunted Minnesota Vikings defense in the NFC Championship Game, Foles played like a cool customer, passing for 352 yards on 26-of-33 completions to go with three touchdowns to lead the Eagles to a Super Bowl-spot clinching 38-7 win as home underdogs.
