Earlier, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Joakim Noah told teammates that he will be leaving the Chicago Bulls once free agency hits.

Now, Noah's intentions appear a bit murkier.

Joakim's agent Bill Duffy heard about Cowley's article and responded, saying that his client hasn't decided whether or not he'll leave Chicago.

Duffy's statement, via K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune:

“Joakim and I speak on daily about his future. There has been zero indication he doesn't wish to return to Bulls.”

“Joakim has great respect for the city, the fans, and the organization.”

Noah developed into the heart and soul of the Chicago Bulls during his nine seasons with the organization. However, during this most recent campaign, he lost his starting spot early on and butted heads with first-year head coach Fred Hoiberg.

He ended up only playing in 29 games before undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery, averaging just 4.3 points and 8.8 rebounds.

Despite the well-documented tension between Noah and Bulls general manager Gar Forman, it was previously reported that Chicago has a “strong internal desire” to keep Joakim in the Windy City.
