The Denver Nuggets, the biggest surprise of the NBA, have won 28 of their first 40 games for the first time since their inaugural season.

The Denver beat the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night by a score of 121-100, making their 11th straight win at home. Their 28-12 record is currently the best in the Western Conference.

But not everyone is a fan of the Nuggets. According to a recent report, Bill Simmons took to Zach Lowe's podcast to complain about the team, making itclear that he's “not a fan.”

“I think they are a regular season success story. By the way, I’m gonna get crucified on Denver Stiffs now! Headline: Simmons hates the Nuggets.”

Simmons and Lowe also talked about the 10 NBA teams that have the best championship odds.

“What the hell is going on in Denver? Why are there 5,000 fans from the other teams at half of these games? What’s happening? Where are the Nuggets fans? Where are you?”

Head coach Michael Malone took exception to Simmons' statements.

“I love our team. I love the makeup of our team. I love how connected we are. And I love the fact that we really, truly have a selfless group. We all care about each other and about the success of our team before ourselves.”

The Nuggets are set to play against the Phoenix Suns tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. EST.
