As the 2023 NFL Draft approaches, Ohio State's CJ Stroud is in contention for the No. 1 overall selection. As teams debate whether or not to draft Stroud, one NFL analyst believes the Ohio State star's game is eerily similar to one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL today.

Stroud received a comparison to Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott from ESPN's Matt Miller. When it comes to all his intangibles, Stroud's accuracy is perhaps the tool that stands out the most. As he prepares to enter the NFL, Miller believes teams should expect a Prescott-esqe figure in the pocket.

CJ Stroud is one my favorite players in the entire draft class. He has great accuracy to all levels of the field,” Miller said. “He is really a wide receiver's best friend the way he throws a catchable ball. There's more athleticism than a lot of people realize. CJ Stroud I think comes in right away as a starter and elevates the team.”

One difference between Dak Prescott and Stroud is that the Cowboys quarterback was a fourth-round pick back in 2016. Stroud seems unlikely to fall beyond the No. 2 overall pick. However, Prescott was forced into immediate starting duty as a rookie. Any team drafting Stroud would want him to start sooner rather than later.

Stroud was extremely productive at Ohio State, throwing for 8,123 yards and 85 touchdowns. Any team drafting him will look for Stroud to keep performing at a high level. While it'll be hard for Stroud to truly emulate Prescott's career, his comparison shows just how high the NFL is on the former Ohio State star.
