The Oklahoma football program saw Dillon Gabriel enter the transfer portal, and now they will likely be in the market for another quarterback for 2024. The Sooners face Arizona in the Alamo Bowl, and questions surround whether or not Gabriel will suit up for the game, which would be his final one in an Oklahoma football uniform.

Gabriel reveals that he has left the door open and has yet to decide whether he will play, per Tom Green.

Dillon Gabriel to @DylanBuckingham on The Franchise, when asked if he plans to play in the Alamo Bowl after entering the transfer portal: “I’ve been talking with Coach BV and just figuring all this out. It’s a little early just to say anything… I’m trying to take it day by day.”‘

Over 1,100 players entered the portal as of Tuesday morning, and Gabriel is one of the biggest names out there and should command plenty of attention.

Gabriel began his career at UCF before committing to head to UCLA, but he backtracked and wound up with the Oklahoma football program once Caleb Williams left for the USC Trojans.

In two years in Norman, Gabriel has 54 touchdowns and six interceptions and threw for 3,660 yards this season.

The Alamo Bowl will take place on December 28 in San Antonio and will feature two teams ranked in the top 15 in one of the best bowl games outside of the New Year's Six slate.

But, whether or not Gabriel plays is up in the air, and a decision could come soon.
