After a huge Netflix debut, One Piece has gotten a massive Season 2 update amid the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.

Per Variety, the producers of One Piece revealed that scripts for a second season are completed. On top of that, the second season could be “ready to air” in just a year after production is allowed to begin.

“We've got scripts ready,” Marty Adelstein, CEO of Tomorrow Studios, told Variety. The studio produces One Piece along with the manga creator Eiichiro Oda and the publisher, Shueisha.

A second season of the show hasn't been officially greenlit by Netflix, but it seems inevitable. Once that happens and the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes are over, you can expect a second season soon.

“Realistically, hopefully, a year away, if we move very quickly, and that is a possibility,” said Becky Clements, president of Tomorrow Studios. “Somewhere between a year and 18 months, we could be ready to air.”

One Piece is a live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's iconic manga and follows the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates. Iñaki Godoy, Emily Rudd, Mackenyu, Jacob Romero Gibson, Taz Skylar, Vincent Regan, Jeff Ward, and Morgan Davies star in the series.

Netflix reported that the first season of One Piece debuted atop their English-spoken TV series charts during its debut week. It logged 140.1 million hours viewed, with a total of 18.5 million views. It beat out other debuts such as Live to 100 and Disenchantment: Part 5. Other popular series like Depp v Heard and Who is Erin Carter? dropped to the show.

One Piece is streaming on Netflix now.
