It's been a tough Open Championship for Tiger Woods, who double bogeyed on the first hole at St. Andrews on Thursday. Woods never recovered, posting the worst score in 22 starts at the Open. Friday brought much of the same, as Woods missed the cut after putting up a 75 in the second round. However, golf fans still wanted to show their love to one of the greats. In a moment scripted for a sports movie, an emotional Woods walked down 18 at St. Andrews, potentially for the final time, as the Open Championship crowd roared.

What a moment, indeed. Overcome with emotion, Tiger Woods tipped his cap as he walked down 18, with the St. Andrews crowd showing their appreciation for one of the greatest to ever swing a golf club.
There’s the emotion from Tiger as he walks down 18 at the Old Course for perhaps the last time. Damn, what a moment.

Of course, the great emotion Tiger Woods felt had many wondering. Could this be the last time we see him at the Open Championship at St. Andrews?
After all, the prestigious event isn't set to be played at St. Andrews again until 2026 at the earliest, as pointed out by Dan Wolken of USA Today Sports. Given all that uncertainty, it's understandable why Woods would be emotional.
It certainly hasn't been easy for him in his return to the PGA. Woods wowed on the first day of the Masters back in April, the first tournament he had played in in about a year. However, he struggled from that point on, finishing 47th.
At the PGA Championship in May, Woods was forced to withdraw, as his surgically repaired leg began to give him trouble. Then, he missed the cut at the Open Championship.
It's understandable that he'd be quite emotional walking in front of these adoring fans, not knowing what the future holds for him.
