The Boston Celtics racked up their 20th win of the season on Saturday afternoon with a 116-110 win over the Phoenix Suns, making them the first team in the league to reach that mark.

Following the game, All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving voiced that he wasn't surprised in the least bit that the Celtics achieved that feat first, according to Brian Robb of the Boston Sports Journal.

Despite cooling down a bit over the last few games, the Celtics have been one of the most consistent teams in the league through the first quarter of the season. They have established a strong identity through their play defensively allowing a league-best 96.8 points per game while Irving has led the charge offensively averaging a team-best 23.4 points per contest.

Boston has been able to put together a promising start without the services of All-Star forward Gordon Hayward for practically the entire stretch. This is in large part due to both second-year guard Jaylen Brown and rookie Jayson Tatum stepping up and excelling in prominent offensive roles in Hayward's absence.

With the Cleveland Cavaliers beginning to hit their stride, it has given the appearance that the two teams could be headed toward another showdown in the Eastern Conference Finals. There is still plenty of the regular season left, but the Celtics are certainly headed in the right direction with Irving leading the way.
