The Green Bay Packers are always searching for new talent that could help them make it back to the Super Bowl, and one of the likeliest areas they will focus on is defense. While many of the top defensive talents will likely have been acquired by the time they make their pick at No. 30 in the 2020 NFL Draft, Kenneth Murray could potentially still be on the board.

The Oklahoma linebacker would be a viable option for the Packers to pick up given his overall skill set. While there are other great players to look into, it may be in the team's best interest to pick him due to how he could impact the defense.

Here are three reasons why Murray should be the person the Packers select if he's still on the board.

3. Superb athleticism for tackles and sacks

One of the reasons why he's such a good pick for the Packers is his ability to tackle and do other things necessary to be a dominant NFL defender. Throughout his three-year stint with the Sooners, he was one of the more outstanding athletes in the entire country. That should make him an impact player for the Packers due to his powerful tackling.

He knows how to properly use his body to power through the opposition and get to the target player on offense. He's also shown to take hits well, not losing any balance when it comes to tackles. He will be able to pursue any quarterback, wide receiver or running back that comes his way.

At 6-2 and 234 pounds, he has the body of an NFL linebacker. With a bit of strength training, he can easily become one of the anchors of the Green Bay defense.

2. Top-notch intelligence and game sense

The NFL is a fast-paced league where deception and trickery happen within seconds of a snap. The Packers will need a smart linebacker that can read plays, and Murray has shown signs of being a quick-thinking defender.

He has a good instinct to figure out where the ball is going and can race to the spot to fight for the ball. While his decision-making still needs some work, he's shown glimpses that he can become a productive player on defense.

All he needs is a bit of help, and the Packers' defensive staff could allow him to grow even more as a player.

1. The Packers need quality defenders

It's made obvious in their defeat to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship that they could use a bit of a boost defensively. The Niners had a lot of success on offense, and that allowed them to handily advance to Super Bowl LIV to play the Kansas City Chiefs.

Green Bay needs more outstanding pass rushers in order to pressure quarterbacks into making mistakes.

Murray fits the bill, and he would be a great addition to the Packers' defensive scheme.
