The lengthy Aaron Rodgers saga dragged on in the offseason, but he now seems ready to take on the mantle once more for the Green Bay Packers. But judging from his eye-opening press conference and the soundbites from the front office, tensions haven't exactly subsided between both sides.
This has raised speculation as to whether or not Aaron Rodgers will remain with the Packers beyond this season. His recent matching posts with Davante Adams featuring “The Last Dance” have some assuming this could very well be his final year in Green Bay.
His former Packers teammate, Will Blackmon, certainly seems to think so. TMZ Sports spoke to Blackmon, who was teammates with Aaron Rodgers from 2006 to 2009, and he revealed where he predicts Rodgers will end up:
“Next year,” said Blackmon. “Aaron Rodgers will be a New Orleans Saint.”
Packers fans might need to get behind Jameis Winston this season to hold out hope that this doesn't happen. If Winston is able to hold the fort in New Orleans, they may be less inclined to poach Rodgers.
Will Blackmon claims to have a good relationship with Rodgers. Perhaps those conversations that they've had gave Blackmon a hint or two as to why he would pick the Saints? I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
