After owning the Chicago Bears once again, Aaron Rodgers dropped some not-so good news for the Green Bay Packers.
Rodgers has been dealing with a toe issue for weeks now. In fact, he admitted before their game against the Bears that he would probably need surgery if someone steps on his foot.
While it doesn't look like someone stepped on his injured toe during the game, Rodgers shared a rather concerning update about his condition. As Adam Schefter of ESPN noted, his fractured toe “feels worse” and needs to be re-evaluated as they explore their options.
During his post-game peas conference, Aaron Rodgers said he suffered a setback Sunday night to his fractured toe and it “feels worse”. Surgery is, in his words, “a last resort, for sure.” But the toe is expected to be re-examined.

While Aaron Rodgers' injury has been expected to linger for the remainder of the season, it is certainly concerning that he suffered a setback. Not to mention that he is coming off a two-week rest following their bye in Week 13, which should have given him time to rest it.
As the Packers QB mentioned, though, surgery remains their “last resort.” After all, undergoing the procedure might force him out in at least one of their remaining games this 2021 campaign.
It remains to be seen what Rodgers and the Packers will do with regards to the injury, but they are certainly hoping it won't have a major effect in the play of their star QB. With Green Bay contending for the top spot in the NFC, the last thing they want is to get their superstar sidelined.
