Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon shared teammate Aaron Jones' sentiment to him following what is potentially a serious knee injury to Jones. During the 4th quarter of a 17-0 victory over the Seattle Seahawks, Packers Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones suffered what is reported to be a sprained MCL.

Following the injury, Jones gave some encouraging words to his teammate, AJ Dillon.

This is a tough injury for a Packers team with Super Bowl aspirations. Jones has been among the league's best running backs over the last few seasons. He is particularly been great in the red zone. Jones had 19 touchdowns, 16 rushing and three receiving in 2019. He then scored 11 more last season. Jones was on pace for double digits again this year before going down with this injury.

Green Bay used a 2nd round pick on AJ Dillon in the 2020 NFL Draft. At the time, it was thought to be a perplexing move. They had just lost the NFC Championship the prior season and used their first two picks that draft on a quarterback and running back; two positions filled by Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones.

However, Dillon has impressed this year and was beginning to take a lot of work from Jones rushing the ball. It was beginning to look like a two-headed monster backfield for the Packers. That would have made it difficult on opposing defenses as they still have to contend with Rodgers, Davante Adams and the passing game.

But for now, it appears the Packers will be back to one running back to worry about. It's great to see Jones being so supportive of the guy who would love to have his job.
