The Green Bay Packers offense took a hit before it even took the field in Week 1, as wide receiver Christian Watson has been ruled out for the contest against the Chicago Bears with a hamstring injury, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

Fellow Packers wideout Romeo Doubs is questionable, also due to a hamstring ailment. Watson did not participate in practice all week, so it's not too surprising to see him unable to play against the Bears.

The second-year pro was spotted in a jersey doing light stretching and jogging on Friday, but he did not go outside with the team, according to Rob Demovsky.

Fortunately for Packers fans, head coach Matt LaFleur told Demovsky that he doesn't think Watson is dealing with an injury that will keep him out three-to-four weeks, but rather that is more of a week-to-week thing.

Doubs would seem to have a chance at suiting up, seeing as he upgraded from not participating in practice on Wednesday to a pair of limited sessions on Thursday and Friday.

The Packers could use Doubs out there, as quarterback Jordan Love will be making just his second career start in his first full season as the team's starter following the offseason trade of Aaron Rodgers.

It's certainly not an ideal setup, as Love will be without Watson and could potentially be without Doubs as well.

In that scenario, the Packers would be heavily reliant on a trio of rookies – Jayden Reed, Malik Heath, and Dontayvion Hicks- as well as a 2022 rookie in Samori Touye.
