Green Bay Packers wideout Davante Adams looks set to play against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday after being sidelined for two games, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Davante Adams had been out of action after sustaining a hamstring injury in Week 2 against the Detroit Lions. Prior to leaving the contest, he had caught all three of his targets for a total of 36 yards. Adams' return to will be monumental for the Packers. During his season debut in Week 1, he caught 14-of-17 targets for 156 yards along with two touchdowns against the Minnesota Vikings.

His injury wasn't completely in vain, as it allowed third-year wideout Allen Lazard to have a breakout performance against the New Orleans Saints, giving Aaron Rodgers another dependable option in the passing game. Unfortunately, the injury bug bit once more, as Lazard has been sidelined for roughly a month in order to rehab from a core muscle surgery.

Adams' return comes at a unique time for the three-time Pro-Bowler, as they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6 following a bye week in Week 5. On the season, the Bucs have succeeded at times at making on-the-fly adjustments to their defensive schemes in the midst of the contest. The Packers will have to be on the lookout for cornerback Carlton Davis, who is sure to make some disruptions downfield.

Rodgers and Adams will still look to continue the dominance they've displayed dating back to last season. Adams is coming off a 2019-20 season that saw him complete 65.4 percent of his targets for 997 yards along with five touchdowns for the Packers.
