The Green Bay Packers fell one game short of punching a ticket to Super Bowl LIV. It seems they plan to respond by shoring up more firepower through the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Packers invested plenty of draft capital o their receiving corps during the 2018 NFL Draft. According to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, they may look to strike in the first-round this time.

This is something they haven't done since 2002, when they took Javon Walker at No. 20 overall. It's a receiver-rich draft, so even at No. 30 there's a good chance they can find an impact pass-catcher. In fact, don't be surprised if they take more than one. GM Brian Gutekunst took three receivers in the 2018 draft, but none higher than Round 4, and only one played last season.

Although the Packers have a number of notable voids on both sides of the ball, the prospect of them going with another wideout is hardly far-fetched.

Green Bay already boasts a bonafide No. 1 wide receiver in Davante Adams. When healthy, Adams is easily one of the elite players at his position. Unfortunately, there has long been a significant drop-off from him and the next best option for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

It became evident when they were blown out twice by the San Francisco 49ers that this Packers offense needs a complementary option to Adams in order to balance out their passing attack. While they currently own the No. 30 overall pick in the upcoming draft, they are in luck since this one of the deepest receiver classes in recent history.
