The Green Bay Packers unveiled their new alternate white helmet that will be worn for their Oct. 20 game against the Houston Texans, which is being billed as the team's first-ever ‘Winter Warning' game, and the franchise is asking all 80,000 fans to wear white for that game, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

The Packers will be wearing their white helmets paired with their white jersey and white pangs for that game against the Texans.

The Packers have a classic look, and they have had some other alternate looks over the years, and it will be interesting to see how fans react to this look on the field in comparison to some of the others the team has worn over the years.

Packers vs Texans should be a big game

The Packers' Oct. 20 game against the Texans is currently scheduled as a 1 p.m. ET game on Sunday during Week 7 of the season. Despite it not being a primetime game, this matchup should be an intriguing one, as both teams have young and promising quarterbacks.

Jordan Love had a very strong finish to the 2023 season with the Packers, leading them to the playoffs and a wild card round win over the Dallas Cowboys. CJ Stroud came in as a rookie for the Texans and changed the trajectory of the franchise as well.

Green Bay extended Jordan Love this offseason, while Houston is hoping to build on CJ Stroud's impressive rookie season.

Both teams have high hops coming into the 2024 season. The Packers added running back Josh Jacobs and safety Xavier McKinney this offseason, while the Texans added Stefon Diggs and Danielle Hunter as some big moves this offseason as well.

By Week 7 of the season, we could be talking about two contending teams with exciting young quarterbacks. The new look for the Packers will be an intriguing part of this as well.
