As the Green Bay Packers look for their next head coach they have been busy setting up interviews and on Friday they will get their chance to talk to Brian Flores who is an assistant for the New England Patriots according to Rob Dermovsky of ESPN.

The NFL allows teams to interview assistants if a team is on bye week which the Patriots are. If they decide they want a second interview with Flores they will have to wait until after the Patriots are eliminated from the playoffs so this could be a long drawn out process.

Flores is only 37 years old and although he didn't have the official title of a defensive coordinator he was the one who called the plays for that side of the ball taking over for Matt Patricia when he was hired by the Detroit Lions. The Patriots finished in 21st in total defense and seventh in total points allowed.

It will be interesting to see who the Packers end up hiring to be their next head coach but it's once again guys under Bill Belichick that are getting an interview after interview.

The Packers are also interviewing Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels who many believe is the favorite to get this job.

The Packers need to get this hire right because Aaron Rodgers isn't going to be around forever and they need to try and make a couple more pushes to win a Super Bowl before there is someone else under center in the Green and Yellow.
