The Green Bay Packers are thrilled that they have Jordan Love as their new franchise QB. Love is due a contract extension and all signs are pointing to him receiving one before training camp. If that happens, it will be the second biggest life event of the offseason for Jordan Love.

According to social media, Jordan Love recently got engaged to his girlfriend Ronika Stone. The couple made a joint Instagram post on Sunday to announce the news.

It is unclear exactly when the couple got together. They have been together since at least September 2020 according to Stone's Instagram account. Stone is a professional volleyball player with the San Diego Mojo who played in college at the University of Oregon.

They were on a romantic trip to Italy when Love popped the question.

The Packers' former first-round pick got down on one knee outside of Castello di Celsa, a 13th century castle in the heart of Tuscany.

Love reportedly worked with Martina Udicova, a top proposal planner in Italy, as well as boutique travel company Liilacs & Chai to pull off the surprise engagement.

The couple's trip to Italy did not interfere with any Packers offseason activities. Love was a full participant at mandatory minicamp, which took place from June 11-13th in Green Bay.

Love's next international trip will likely be to South America. The Packers will travel to Brazil to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a first-ever Friday night NFL game on September 6th.

Packers coaches want Jordan Love to improve in a few key areas

The Packers are heading into year three with Jordan Love as their starting QB. Love has made great strides since entering the starting lineup. He put up an impressive run of games to end the 2023 season, including a playoff thumping of the Cowboys.

However, that doesn't mean that Love is a perfect QB. If you ask the Packers coaching staff, there are still plenty of things that Love can clean up in his game.

“What we're making a big emphasis on is having perfect feet,” LaFleur said, per ESPN's Rob Demovsky. “Making sure the guys go through their progressions, having perfect feet. And when they're not, they hear about it. I just think again, offseason, where we're at, new defense, it's important for them to understand the drops that we want them to take, so we implemented it.”

Packers quarterbacks coach Tom Clements echoed LaFleur's remarks and added that fundamentals are key to success in the NFL.

“It's just more fundamental things, Clements said. “Footwork and how he moves in the pocket, and we're working on the drills, working on throwing a lot of routes on air because you can't have defenders out there at this point. It's just presence in the pocket, when to move, when not to move, things like that.”

Love has a strong foundation to build on. He has already proved that he is a capable leader and given the Packers hope for the future.

If Love can show even more improvement in 2024, the Packers will be right there with the Detroit Lions at the top of the NFC North.
