The Green Bay Packers boast one of the youngest rosters in the NFL. Defensive back Keisean Nixon, who turns 27 in a few days, is weirdly one of the older players in Green Bay's secondary. Nixon signed a new contract with the team this offseason and could start for the Packers in nickel packages. He recently gave an interview where he joked about a couple players on an NFC rival.

Keisean Nixon recently appeared on Up & Adams with Kay Adams and spoke on a variety of topics. When asked if Nixon is more excited to play the 49ers next year than he is to play in Brazil. Adams noted that Nixon recently stated that the Packers let the 49ers off easy last season.

“Yes, absolutely,” Nixon said. “I've been having to hear from Deebo Samuel and Deommodore Lenoir all summer. I'm kind of sick of hearing 'em, so they gotta come to Lambeau field and see us.”

Nixon didn't hold back when Adams asked him to elaborate on Samuel.

“Deebo's annoying,” Nixon said. “He likes FaceTime. He wants to like talk crazy in your face.”

Nixon was joking around about Samuel. The pair played college football together at the University of South Carolina for two years.

“We played college together, so that's my boy,” Nixon said, clarifying that the exchange is more playful banter than serious beef.

The Green Bay Packers will host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 12. Green Bay will be looking for revenge after falling to San Fran in the NFC Divisional Round last year.

The future is bright for the Packers now that Jordan Love appears to be their next franchise QB.

Now that he has proven his worth to Green Bay, will the young QB finally get a commensurate contract extension?

Last year the two parties agreed to a half measure. They added one year to Love's contract that gave him more money in 2023 and more total money, but less guaranteed cash on his fifth-year option.

Now Love is seeking a real contract extension. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler recently reported that Love could have a new contract before training camp.

“Brian Gutekunst wants to get something done before training camp,” Fowler said on a SportsCenter segment on Saturday June 15th. “Probably a little bit of pressure on him after the way Aaron Rodgers’ situation went years ago. They want a cleaner situation for his contract.”

Gutekunst himself has confirmed that those conversations have started. There is mutual interest in getting a contract done soon, which would handsomely reward Jordan Love.

“We’re in those conversations right now,” Gutekunst told 97.3 The Game. “The nice part about this is none of these things are always easy or fast, but both parties want the same thing. We’d like to get this done before training camp for sure. Both parties want to get a contract extension done.”

It will be interesting to see the financials on Jordan Love's extension once it becomes official. Comparing the details to other QB contracts could teach us a lot about how much Green Bay values Love.
