The Green Bay Packers brought in a running back reinforcement on Tuesday as the team is reportedly signing Kenyan Drake, per Field Yates. Drake posted a photo of his name and the No. 32 next to the Packers logo on X (formerly Twitter). It is unknown whether he is joining Green Bay's active roster or the practice squad.

The Packers are Drake's fourth different team since August. He spent three weeks with the Indianapolis Colts before joining the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. He appeared in two games with Baltimore, playing 12 total snaps.

He was most recently with the Cleveland Browns, who released him on Nov. 28 after nearly a month on the practice squad.

Drake enjoyed success early in his career and continued to be a solid role player in each of the last two seasons after notching career-highs in rushing yards (944) and touchdowns (10) in 2020. He's been unable to find a consistent home this year though.

The Packers already have plenty of bodies in the running back room, but perhaps a fresh face in Drake can rejuvenate the group. With starter Aaron Jones continuing to sit out, Green Bay has stayed afloat in the running game, averaging 128 rushing yards over the last five games.

It remains to be seen whether Kenyan Drake will be in uniform for the Packers in the coming weeks, but he'll at least get a paycheck as he tries to finish out the season under contract.

Drake may even get a chance to sniff the playoffs as the Packers are 6-6 and hold the final playoff spot in the NFC with five weeks left to play.
