Madden 20 reveals all ratings for Green Bay Packers’ rookies
The Green Bay Packers had a solid draft, landing two impact defenders in the first round and playmakers who filled roster holes later on.
Madden 20 recently released its ratings for the 2019 rookies and the game’s creators also seem high on Green Bay’s rookies, with several of them earning decent initial grades. Here’s the complete list:
- EDGE Rashan Gary – 73 overall
- S Darnell Savage – 72 overall
- TE Jace Starnberger – 72 overall
- OL Elgton Jenkins – 69 overall
- CB Ka’dar Hollman – 66 overall
- RB Dexter Williams – 66 overall
- DL Kingsley Keke – 65 overall
- LB Ty Summers – 63 overall
- OL Yosuah Nijman – 56 overall
(Madden 20 also included Nijman who was signed by the Packers as an undrafted free agent shortly after the draft).
To no surprise, Gary has the highest rating since he was picked No. 12 overall by the Packers. An interesting pick for the Packers, the team selected him to play outside linebacker after spending the entirety of his collegiate career as a down lineman. The Packers believe Gary has the speed and the length to be an elite edge rusher despite not producing big numbers at Michigan.
Savage, a safety, was the target of a trade up in the first round. In 2018, Savage posted 59 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions two passes defended and one interception returned for a touchdown. Sternberger, a converted receiver, emerged as one of the best tight ends in the country, recording 48 receptions for 832 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Overall, the Packers addressed many of their needs with this year’s class. It’ll be interesting to see how those grades change as the season unfolds.
