Veteran broadcaster and sports commentator Stephen A. Smith didn't hold back in his criticisms of Aaron Rodgers after the Green Bay Packers suffered a brutal loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFL Playoffs.

The 49ers sent the Packers packing on Saturday after they edged them in a rather low-scoring affair, 13-10. Rodgers failed to score a single touchdown in the contest, which certainly disappointed Stephen A. Smith even more.

The outspoken commentator highlighted how the consistent failure of the Packers, especially their latest defeat, has a massive impact on Rodgers' legacy.

“It is the worst defeat of Aaron Rodgers' career and it could not have come at a worse time because of all that noise that you made coming into the season,” Smith said on First Take. “And then the noise that you made by being the ‘deliberate-liar-in-chief' with the whole immunization and all of that stuff. … We threw all of that aside and said ‘This is your time.' And you came up short.”

The defeat to the 49ers is the second straight game that the Packers lost at home in the playoffs after succumbing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in last year's conference championship.

Making matters worse for the Packers, they had two weeks to get themselves ready for the divisional round after dominating the 2021 season and topping the NFC 13-4.

Stephen A. Smith is certainly speaking out for a lot of Packers fans out there, probably not all but likely a lot. Aaron Rodgers has been brilliant all season long, but when Green Bay needed him most, he vanished.

Now, his future with the team is in doubt. He did say he doesn't want to be part of a rebuild if ever the team takes that route, so it is a storyline worth watching this offseason.

For Stephen A., though, it looks like he is done with Rodgers.
