Could we really see Aaron Rodgers on Game of Thrones?
It's no secret the Green Bay Packers quarterback is a diehard fan of “Game of Thrones,” but now there’s speculation he might see himself when he tunes into Sunday night’s episode of the HBO drama.
Aaron Nagler of Cheesehead TV tweeted on Wednesday:
There has been no announcement from Rodgers via his social media accounts confirming this, but there have been some subtle hints.
On April 22, a tweet with the hashtag #episode5shouldbegood. Sunday night's episode is indeed Episode 5 of the eighth and final season.
Rodgers wasn't done there, though. Other dates he, perhaps, dropped some clues include:
April 23: Rodgers says he’s privy to some insider knowledge about the final season of the show but can’t reveal it. “I have a bit of inside information about who is alive in one of the episodes, but I’ll share that down the line.”
Super Bowl LII weekend in 2018: When he appeared as a guest on “The Dan Patrick Show” in Minneapolis, Patrick asked if he had been approached to be on “Game of Thrones.” Rodgers said he could neither confirm or deny that. If he was on the show, Patrick asked, did he request to be killed? “I definitely want to be killed or in one of the steamy scenes for sure,” Rodgers said.
Rodgers also sat upon the show's iconic Iron Throne at Lambeau Field last year to shoot a social media campaign for the show, in which he identifies himself as “Lord Aaron of House Rodgers of Greenwater Bay, the true King in the North.”
Anyone else looking forward to finding out?
