One of the Green Bay Packers' biggest problem during the 2021 season was their special teams unit, and so they are now looking to address that issue.

After parting ways with special teams coordinator Maurice Drayton–to the delight of fans who demanded for his sacking–the Packers are reportedly eyeing former Las Vegas Raiders interim coach Rich Bisaccia for the vacancy. He impressed as the temporary head coach of the Raiders after Jon Gruden's firing, leading the team to a 7-5 record en route to the playoffs, so he definitely has the winning mentality that Green Bay wants.

Of course the Packers will have to pay a lot to hire a top-caliber coordinator like Bicaccia, but they may be willing to do it if it means greatly improving their biggest weakness in the past season, per Tomi Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

For what it's worth, the Packers are not the only team interested in Rich Bisaccia, which is not surprising given his recent performance for the Raiders. As recent reports indicated, the Chicago Bears are also eyeing him for their special teams unit.

The Packers have a lot of other issues to address this offseason, especially with several of their key players entering unrestricted free agency. However, showing their intention to improve on all fonts could be critical in retaining some of their top talents who are looking to continue fighting for the Super Bowl.

Aaron Rodgers' future remains the biggest question mark for the team, and while there are rumors that he and the team are parting ways, the front office did emphasize recently their desire to have the signal-caller back. Maybe hiring Bisaccia and convincing him that they'll be a better team in 2022 could do the trick?
