The New England Patriots certainly don't need any additional help as the heralded franchise will be playing in its third consecutive Super Bowl on Sunday evening in Atlanta.

Nonetheless, head coach Bill Belichick will have the services of defensive linemen Adrian Clayborn and Danny Shelton against the surging Los Angeles Rams.

According to the team's list of inactives for Sunday's matchup, both Clayborn and Shelton are fortunately nowhere to be found.

The 30-year-old Clayborn appeared in 14 regular season games as a member of the Patriots during the 2018-19 campaign.

During that span, the veteran pass rusher produced 11 total tackles, 2.5 sacks and one forced fumble. A former first-round NFL Draft pick by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers back in 2011, Clayborn came over to New England ahead of the 2018-19 season while making a stop with the Atlanta Falcons before ultimately joining the Patriots.

On the other hand, the 25-year-old Shelton appeared in 13 regular season games as a member of the Patriots in 2018-19.

Another former first-round pick, Shelton originally broke into the league as a member of the Cleveland Browns. During his first season in New England, the veteran defensive tackle tallied 21 total tackles, with 10 of those wrap-ups coming of the solo variety. Shelton did not sack a single quarterback, however.

With New England now officially gearing up for Sunday's matchup against the upstart Rams, the Patriots are seeking to become Super Bowl Champions for the second time in the last three seasons.

After beating the aforementioned Falcons a few years back, the Patriots came up short against the Philadelphia Eagles last season.
