The New England Patriots traveled all the way to Germany to take on the Indianapolis Colts in Week 10. But even though they were in a different country, the Patriots couldn't shake their glaring offensive problems.

Emotions boiled over in the third quarter between offensive coordinator Bill O'Brien and Mac Jones. With the Patriots struggling to move the ball, O'Brien was seen berating Jones on the sidelines, h/t Michael Hurley of CBS News Boston.

O'Brien might've been angry, but there was nothing about Jones' play that would've brought a smile to the OC's face. Jones completed 15-of-20 passes for 170 scoreless yards and an interception. While Jones led a field goal drive to begin the game, the Patriots then punted on four straight drives before missing a field goal. After throwing an interception late in the fourth quarter, Jones was benched for Bailey Zappe.

Unfortunately for New England, Zappe didn't play much better in his limited action. He completed just 3-of-7 passes for 25 yards and an interception. His interception took away any chance the Patriots had of winning the game.

However, with their offensive performance, it was shocking New England lost by just four points. Still, a 10-6 defeat at the hands of the Colts isn't going to instill much confidence when the Pats land back in the states.

After how they handled the end of the game, New England may have a quarterback controversy in their hands. But until the Patriots can figure out things on offense, Bill O'Brien isn't getting any happier. Mac Jones would know.
