After dominating the NFL for almost two decades, it seems the dynasty of the New England Patriots is slowly losing its steam. Betting experts have just released their odds for the 2020 NFL Regular Season and they have the Pats only favored in eight of their sixteen games.

As per the Boston Herald, the 2018 Super Bowl champions are looking at an 8-7-1 record which isn't likely to earn them another AFC East title, which they've held for 11 consecutive seasons. If these odds are accurate, the Patriots is bound to have their worst record since 2000, even before Tom Brady started for the squad.

Is this all because Brady departed the team and signed with Tampa Bay? Perhaps. But if you take a look at the organization, they've done little to improve their roster after bowing out of the 2019 NFL Playoffs in the first round. They've lost key pieces in the team like Kyle Van Noy, Jamie Collins, Danny Shelton and Duron Harmon. With a tough schedule ahead of them, it's easy to predict that the 2020 NFL Season (whenever it begins) will be quite difficult for the Boston-based squad.

There seems to be some glimmer of hope for the team though. They have young quarterback Jarrett Stidham who was fortunate enough to play alongside Brady for his entire rookie season. The sophomore looks very promising but filling in for a six-time world champion might not be a walk in the park. The Patriots also grabbed a handful of potential pieces in the recent 2020 NFL Draft which would help reshape the team for the years to come. Last but not least, they still have three-time coach of the year Bill Belichick. With the legendary Belichick leading the pack, the Pats will always have a fighting chance.
