Even though the Dolphins are a little short-staffed as of late, former Patriots WR coach Chad O'Shea is the front-runner for the still-vacant OC job.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel is reporting that O'Shea — while not officially on board — could be following incoming head coach Brian Flores to Miami, as the two like each other's respective style of coaching.

Interestingly, though Flores is all but guaranteed to get the Dolphins' head coaching position, he can't make the announcement about his new job until after the New England Patriots face the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII on Feb. 3 in Atlanta.

And since Flores can't share the news, it makes sense that fellow former Patriots coach O'Shea can't say anything about his potential new hiring, either.

In addition to Chad O'Shea, Flores is rumored to be putting together an all-star coaching team to do right by the Miami Dolphins. Former Indianapolis Colts and Detroit Lions coach Jim Caldwell will be coming on as his assistant head coach, and former Green Bay Packers linebackers coach Patrick Graham will be coming on as his defensive coordinator.

However, none of these announcements can be made until Flores signs his contract with Miami next week, and the Patriots play against the Rams at the Super Bowl.

Prior to his job with the New England Patriots, Chad O'Shea had a volunteer position with the Kansas City Chiefs. He also coached receivers, tight ends and special teams on the college level at the University of Houston and Southern Mississippi.
