The New England Patriots got some much-needed wide receiver help before the 2020 NFL Draft by bringing in Marqise Lee according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Lee was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier in the week in a move that shocked a lot of people. Lee has dealt with a lot of injuries, but he appears to be fully healthy now. Lee missed the entire 2018 season and could only play six games during the 2019 season due to a knee injury.

Lee, Julian Edelman, and Mohamed Sanu are a good start, but the Patriots shouldn't be done improving the wideouts. The Patriots also need to answer who is going to be their starting quarterback.

Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have been connected at the hip, but with Brady gone this is a crucial draft for the Patriots. Even if Belichick won't say it, there is no doubt he feels some pressure to have success.

With the connection between Brady and Belichick now each guy wants to prove they can win without the other. Belichick's legacy is already set, but it would probably bring him great satisfaction if he was able to win the AFC East with a quarterback they draft, or one of the guys already on the roster.

This is a key few days for every team, but especially for the Patriots as they try to move forward. Everyone should have a much better understanding of which way the Patriots want to go on Saturday when the draft is completed. One thing is clear, Lee is going to be a big part of their 2020 season.
