“I hear it. It’s amazing. Hearing that is just like, man, where I come from and how my story and life went. Hearing them just cheer cause I’m doing good. Or just in general. Man, the city is amazing. … NOLA thanks for embracing a kid from Brooklyn. I’m going to give all I got to this city,” said the Pelicans guard.

Alvarado didn’t have a monster game based on the box score. He finished with a respectable 12 points and three triples in 22 minutes of action off the bench. But his impact and effort was seen throughout his time on the court.

Jose Alvarado made timely passes and effort plays to help stave off the Spurs’ final run towards the end of the game. While he isn’t the team’s star, he’s a fan favorite for his infectious attitude and style of play all the same.
