Say it with your chest, the New Orleans Pelicans are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2018. Although it was an absolute battle, they managed to notch their second Play-In win in a row, knocking off the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night and booking their ticket to a first-round matchup with the high and mighty Phoenix Suns, who had the best record in the Association this season.

Following the epic victory, first-year head coach Willie Green gave the Pelicans a motivational speech that will surely fire you up.

Via the team's Twitter:

Green couldn't have said it any better. The Pelicans had a big first-half lead then in classic Clippers fashion, they clawed back and eventually took a 13-point lead in the fourth. But, New Orleans never backed down, ultimately responding with authority and going on a 10-0 run at one point, with rookie Trey Murphy hitting a pair of big shots down the stretch.

Brandon Ingram really shined in this do-or-die contest, erupting for a team-high 30 points. The Pelicans might've had a 36-46 record in 2021/22, but they just proved their worth across these last two games. The Suns are going to be an extremely tall task, but Green's group is ready. The confidence is at an all-time high. This is just the start of what should be an exciting future for the franchise, especially when Zion Williamson returns to the fold as well.

Game 1 vs Phoenix is scheduled for Sunday night in the desert.
