Detroit Pistons All-Star power forward Blake Griffin didn't suffer a setback in his left knee on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder and is expected to play on Sunday versus the Charlotte Hornets.

After missing three consecutive games with left knee soreness, Griffin returned to action against the Thunder and had a monster night. The high-flyer finished with 45 points, seven rebounds and three assists while hitting nine 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

The Pistons, however, lost by a final score of 123-110.

Detroit is 39-40 on the season. They are in the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference standings.

Griffin was the only player on the Pistons who showed up versus the Thunder on Friday. Point guard Ish Smith scored 12 points and he was the second-leading scorer on the team after Griffin. It was an embarrassing performance from the Pistons, who are trying to make the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

Sunday is going to be a huge game for Detroit and Charlotte. The Hornets are two games back of the Pistons in the standings. Detroit needs to get it together, as they have lost three games in a row and are just 3-7 in its last 10 games.

You know Griffin is going to produce on Sunday. Let's see if his teammates can join the party this time.
