As the trade deadline approaches, more and more rumors are becoming commonplace. In fact, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Detroit Pistons have recently been aggressive in the trade market. They have already floated a few players around to gauge interest, and as a result, teams are now starting to call about the services of Stanley Johnson and Luke Kennard.

The Pistons have already downplayed the availability of Kennard, their first round pick in 2017, according to Ian Begley of ESPN. However, Detroit seems to be quite pressured to see what they could get for Johnson, who just missed the last four games due to a hip injury. Earlier in the season, Johnson expressed dissatisfaction with his role on the Pistons, and head coach Stan Van Gundy seemed to discredit the athletic forward for his inefficiency in games, per Vincent Ellis of the Detroit Free Press.

“That may not be the role that Stanley prefers or thinks he should have, but that’s the role he’s in, but he’s got to be more efficient in it.”

Johnson may be slowly losing a spot in the Pistons' rotation. He is currently averaging 7.3 points and 3.7 rebounds in 27.5 minutes per game. He is also shooting 35 percent from the field. Johnson is known as a defensive wizard with a limited offensive game, and he doesn't appear to have a comfortable role with the Pistons going forward.

With Kennard looking more likely to be off the table, Detroit may be willing to part with Stanley Johnson instead.
