PSG star Neymar suffered a scary ankle injury in his side's 3-1 victory in Ligue 1 over the weekend and is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, which means he won't be back on the pitch until 2022:

In case you missed it, the Brazilian's entire ankle rolled the wrong way and it looked extremely painful:

The PSG striker hasn't exactly been producing at a high rate this season, however, scoring just three times and tallying another three assists in 10 league appearances. In Europe, where the Parisians are already through to the knockout stages, he's failed to find the back of the net in four games.

Nevertheless, it's still a blow to Mauricio Pochettino's squad. Neymar is a regular in his starting XI and a key player. Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi will now be relied upon even more in the final third, with Mbappe leading the side with seven goals in the French top flight.

Unfortunately, injuries are a common occurrence for Neymar since making the move to PSG in 2017 from Barcelona. He's missed a total of 74 games because of health issues and 91 overall for the Ligue 1 giants in just three seasons and counting. With the Champions League Round of 16 in mid-February, the hope is that he could be back by then.
