One of the weirder stories out of the NFL the last few years involving Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown is expected to have a quick resolution.

According to Pro Football Talk, a decision regarding whether Brown will be allowed to wear the helmet he has worn since he has come into the league is expected to be decided by the league office this week.

Brown had a two-hour meeting over the phone with the league office on Friday to try and figure out different options that might be suitable. According to reports, the Raiders have also sent Brown different helmets that could work but so far that

Brown has worn the Schutt Air Advantage which was discontinued in 2011.The league's new rules on helmets probits a helmet more than ten years old from being recertified. Brown's helmet is more than ten years old which means the league will not allow him to wear it.

It's really hard to imagine the league letting Brown wear the old helmet, especially with the emphasis that has been put on CTE the last few years.

It's also hard to imagine that Brown is serious with his threat to retire from the NFL if he isn't allowed to wear his old helmet.

Brown is guaranteed $30 million over the next two years and it would be shocking if he was willing to throw all that away over a helmet.

As shocking as it is, we are also talking about Brown, so this is a situation where it feels like anything could happen.
