Oakland Raiders head coach Jon Gruden is already feeling the emotions when it comes to the team possibly playing its final game at Oakland Coliseum next Monday night.

There are still a ton of unknowns when it comes to where the Raiders will play next season, and that figures to add plenty of interest to next week's primetime showdown against the Denver Broncos.

And for Gruden, the possibility of this being the Raiders' last game at the Coliseum is producing a lot of reflections on the rich history of the franchise.

Here's what Gruden had to say about the situation, courtesy of ESPN's Paul Gutierrez.

“Just raging in the Black Hole,” Gruden said Monday in his weekly media conference, when asked about Coliseum memories. “Rocking and raging down there after the Steeler game [last week], after a lot of wins over the years. Seeing a lot of the old highlights of great Raider teams, I get excited. I get emotional about it, and hopefully we get it all resolved so we can continue to play there.”

“It's a real football stadium,” Gruden said. “It's dirt, grass, it's got tradition. It's where some of the best games in the history of football have been played. It's where some of the best players in the history of the world have played football games.

“You're walking around before the Steeler game and you see Franco Harris and Lester Hayes and you think about some of the battles they had in that place. Reggie Jackson, lighting the [Al Davis] Torch. I mean, there are a lot of things that have happened in that stadium and, uh, next question. I don't want to start crying about a stadium.”

Gruden probably won't be the only one that has the feels when the Raiders take the field against the Broncos, especially with no one knowing for sure where they will play during the 2019 season.

After the matchup with the Broncos, the Raiders will hit the road for a matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 17.
