The Las Vegas Raiders have made some tremendous moves this offseason, as they are stacking up well against a loaded AFC West. Somehow, the front office found a way to reel in Davante Adams to reunite him with his college teammate Derek Carr. However, it sounds like this was the plan all along.

According to Pro Football Talk, Adams and Carr spoke about joining together in Las Vegas a while ago. It's caused speculation that the Raiders broke tampering violations. However, the duo make it clear they didn't break any rules. The former Green Bay Packers wide receiver provides an inside scoop on how the conversations took place.

“It's something we didn't entertain during the season. Once we wrapped up the season, started communicating a little bit… As things progressed a little bit more, obviously we communicate multiple times a week as it is, aside from even trying to team up. So once we got to a point where it was something that could be realistic now, it's not just a thought, we started trying to put a little bit of a plan together. And obviously I was still going back and forth with Green Bay at that point and still weighing my options,” – Raiders receiver Davante Adams.

Although it sounds a bit fishy, there is no proof of any illegal tampering taking place. It also would be incredibly difficult to prove otherwise, to the Raiders are unlikely to serve any punishments.

At the end of the day, Davante Adams joins the Raiders on a new contract that the Packers were unable to offer. It should be an exciting season for Las Vegas, as he and Derek Carr hope to take the league by storm next year. We should be in store for a spectacular season, as the AFC is shaping up to be incredibly competitive.
