Pretty much everyone was in shock after the Green Bay Packers dealt Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders. However, with more information coming to light, it sounds like it was a move bound to happen. On Thursday, the superstar wide receiver revealed details of the trade that might make Green Bay fans a bit sour.

According to Pro Football Talk, Davante Adams reveals the Packers offered him more money than what the Raiders paid him. Although the star receiver mentions how Aaron Rodgers was well aware of the situation, this still has to sting for cheese heads. As for Las Vegas, the fans are ecstatic as the offense received a massive upgrade in the wide receiver room. Adams explains his reasonings during a press conference after minicamp practice.

“You guys have heard Green Bay offered this which is higher than what I was [going to make with the Raiders] and all of that. And, yeah, I'll say it, it was true. OK, it was true. But there's much more that goes into it. And family is a big part of it for me. So, geographically being here, it makes it a lot easier for me to stay connected to my family year-round.”

So, money wasn't the most important aspect of his decision. It's very respectable of Davante Adams to value his family over everything else and it makes much more sense why the trade came to fruition. Adams should pick up right where he left off with the Raiders, especially considering Las Vegas has a dangerous group of pass options for Derek Carr. Keep an eye on this franchise as they aim to shake things up in the AFC West.

It should be a fun season ahead for this franchise, as the Raiders have a roster to keep up with the remainder of the league. Look for Davante Adams to be a beast for this offense.
