Las Vegas Raiders QB Derek Carr had a historic Thanksgiving Day game against the Dallas Cowboys after etching his name in franchise history. While leading his team to an impressive 36-33 OT win over Dallas, Carr made history as the first QB for the Raiders to pass 30,000 career yards.
Take a bow, Derek Carr (via NFL on FOX):
Carr was at the forefront of their Week 11 win over Dak Prescott and the hosting Cowboys squad. The 30-year old opened the evening with his historic QB in the first quarter and basically set the tone for the Raiders all evening. The home squad kept at it and it took the Raiders a field goal in extra time to seal their sixth win this season.
It's no question that Las Vegas heavily relies on Carr when it comes to important games like this. According to ESPN Stats & Info, the Raiders are now 6-1 in OT when the signal-caller starts in the span of his eight-year career in the NFL. This season, the Raiders are now 3-0 in OT games, making them the first team to do so since the Green Bay Packers in the 2017 season.
Carr is hoping that this key win motivates the team to finish the season strong. With just six games to go, the Raiders still find themselves jockeying for position in the AFC West Division with a 6-5 win-loss record after Week 11. Up next for Las Vegas is a home game against the Washington Football Team in Week 12.
