Through scandal after scandal off the field, the Las Vegas Raiders kept fighting on the field. The team's ability to overcome adversity and losing several key pieces allowed them to secure a Wild Card spot, snapping a four-year playoff drought. Although the Raiders lost 26-19 to the Cincinnati Bengals, they had a surprisingly successful season.

Derek Carr led the Raiders through the tumultuous season. Despite failing to take advantage of several red zone opportunities, he played pretty decently in his first-ever playoff game, throwing for 310 yards, a touchdown and an interception. Few people thought the Raiders would make it as far as they did, which is a testament to Carr's leadership and abilities.

After Las Vegas' defeat, Carr talked about how great the team's chemistry is. On Twitter, he shared a heartfelt, prideful message about the team.

Carr has the utmost respect from his teammates and the organization that he has been a part of for eight years. His future with the organization is not certain as his contract expires soon, though he has previously expressed a desire to remain a Raider.

The Raiders will have a very busy offseason. They will have to find a new head coach and figure out how to keep Carr around. The front office needs to find him a deep threat wide receiver and the defense, aside from Maxx Crosby and Denzel Perryman, needs help. Las Vegas' ability to clinch a postseason berth shows they are ready to be a competitive team, though.

Whether Carr is around for the long-term future or not, his impact on the Raiders will always be apparent.
