The NFL world has been rocked by the news that former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs was at the center of a fatal car crash, claiming the life of an innocent woman.

That young woman was Tina Tintor, a 23-year-old whose Toyota Rav4 Ruggs rammed into just off the Las Vegas strip during the wee hours of the morning on November 2.  Tintor's family released a sobering statement for the public just a day after the incident.

Via PFF's Ari Meirov:

“Tina’s tragic loss has devastated her family beyond a grief they could ever comprehend. Family was everything to Tina, and she was the light of her parent’s life,” the statement read. “Tina lived in Las Vegas since she was a baby. She loved her three-year-old Golden Retriever, Max, who passed alongside her Tuesday morning. The Tintor family appreciates privacy as they mourn. May Tina rest in peace.”

Ruggs was reportedly going 156 miles per hour on his Chevrolet Corvette and was intoxicated with twice the legal alcohol limit to be driving a vehicle. The disgraced Raiders star and his female companion both escaped with minor injuries.

The Raiders released Henry Ruggs shortly after he was charged of driving while under the influence of alcohol resulting in death.

Our thoughts go out to Tina Tintor and her family as they deal with this shocking tragedy.
