After being a question mark earlier this week for the Las Vegas Raiders' season opener against the Baltimore Ravens, running back Josh Jacobs is now making promising strides to being available come Monday night.

Jacobs missed a pair of scheduled practices earlier this week. At the time, the Raiders did not specify as to why he wound up missing practice on both days.

After a notable wait, Jacobs made his return to practice on Thursday. As listed by the Raiders' injury report, he was limited due to a minor toe injury.

Jacobs' availability over Las Vegas' upcoming practice sessions will help the team provide for a final declaration whether on he may be a full go for its upcoming Monday Night Football showdown against the Ravens.

Nonetheless, Las Vegas does have a pair of key backups ready to heavily feature in the clash with Baltimore should Jacobs be ruled out. Raiders head coach Jon Gruden could opt to rely on a one-two punch of both Kenyan Drake and new signing Peyton Barber.

The Raiders could also have another running back option in free agent Kerryon Johnson, who the team hosted for a workout on Tuesday.

In the big picture, Jacobs comes into the upcoming season with plenty of key expectations. He is coming off of back-to-back campaigns with over 1,300 yards from scrimmage recorded. More so, the team will surely count on him in key AFC West matchups over the season.
