The Oakland Raiders are set to host their final game at the Coliseum against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. It appears running back Josh Jacobs will be available after all.

Jacobs was sidelined with a shoulder injury during the loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 14. According to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, he is set to make his return versus Jacksonville:

Raiders RB Josh Jacobs underwent an MRI on his ailing shoulder after not playing on Sunday. But the scans checked out very positively, sources say, and Jacobs is expected to return to the field this week. Barring a setback, should be just a one-week absence.

Jacobs had been dealing with a lingering shoulder injury since Week 7. Despite his pleas to play against Tennessee, head coach Jon Gruden ultimately opted to take a cautious approach by sitting him out, however, he was still hopeful that the rookie would not be out for very long. It seems Gruden's optimism was well-warranted now that he has his workhorse back.

The return of Jacobs should provide a major boost to the offense. His absence was heavily felt after they struggled to get any kind of a run game going against Tennessee. He should be able to help this group get back on track against a Jacksonville defense that has been rather generous versus the run this year.

Gruden admits there is a sense of responsibility on their part to ensure that the Raiders end their final home game in Oakland on a high note. Having Jacobs should pay huge dividends in helping to make it happen.
