The Las Vegas Raiders are seemingly looking to add another running back to the roster and they have apparently found their guy. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Las Vegas is expected to sign free-agent Jeremy Hill.

The last time we saw Hill in the NFL was in 2018 with the New England Patriots. In his lone season with the Patriots, Hill would suffer a season-ending knee injury versus the Houston Texans in Week 1. Before he sustained a torn ACL, Hill rushed for 25 yards on four attempts.

Due to his recovery from a torn ACL, Hill was absent from an NFL roster in 2019. However, the former second-round pick is interested in making a return to the league after his hiatus a season ago.

Hill began his career in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2014. As a rookie, the LSU product rushed for 1,124 yards and nine touchdowns for the Bengals. It just so happens that Hill's rookie campaign remains the best season of his career thus far. Similar to his time with the Patriots, his tenure with the Bengals came to an end due to a season-ending injury.

If Hill ends up passing his physical with the Raiders, then he'd likely be added as a depth option at running back. Heading into the 2020 season, Las Vegas already has Josh Jacobs and Jalen Richard featured in the backfield. Meanwhile, rookie Lynn Bowden Jr. figures to have an immediate impact in the offense.

Seeing that he didn't play last season, Hill is going to need some time to get accustomed to playing football again. Nevertheless, the Raiders hope he can remain healthy and carve out a role with the team in 2020.
