The Las Vegas Raiders made history on Thursday after hiring Sandra Douglass Morgan as team president. She is the first black woman president in NFL history, obliterating the glass ceiling in the league. However, reports resurfaced of the team firing former president Dan Ventrelle for bringing awareness to a possible hostile work environment. On Friday, Mark Davis addressed the issue.

According to Sports Illustrated, “Raiders owner Mark Davis officially responded to the claims regarding him creating ‘a hostile work environment.'”

“The culture of this organization for me is so important. Since the articles that came out, not only in The New York Times, but the [Review-Journal] … I take those very seriously. So we did an investigation into all those things and we listened to the people who work in the organization, and I believe we started to make those changes that are necessary to get the culture back to where we feel we can all be positive.” – Raiders owner, Mark Davis.

So, it sounds like the organization is at least attempting to make some changes. This franchise has dealt with a ton of adversity lately so clearing up any mess in the front office will only help the Raiders progress. Meanwhile, Sandra Douglass Morgan aims to help Vegas improve overall, as she has plenty of experience to properly conduct this role.

We'll see how it plays out, as multiple team owners have been under fire recently. Clearly, the Washington Commanders are a tornado of chaos, but the Portland Trail Blazers are rumored to be having some troubles of their own. So, hopefully, the Raiders can sort out whatever is going on in the workplace and become a well-respected franchise.

With the team making big moves to the roster after trading for Davante Adams, Mark Davis likely hopes the decision to hire Morgan as president can improve the Raiders' front office and business.
