Henry Ruggs III was let go by the Las Vegas Raiders on Tuesday after a gruesome car accident where he killed a 23-year-old woman because he was under the influence. Just days removed from the incident, there have been some very shocking details released:

Wow. The ex-Raiders receiver really made a huge mistake. Not only was he drinking and driving, but the police also found a loaded firearm in his smashed-up Corvette. Ruggs has been charged with a DUI resulting in death and faces anywhere from 2-20 years in prison.

Ruggs III went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and is expected to be okay. His girlfriend was also in the car and she is dealing with serious injuries. The Raiders drafted the former Alabama star in the first round in 2020 and he emerged to be one of their best receivers this season before his release.

The accident happened at approximately 3:39 AM on Tuesday morning just a few miles from the Las Vegas strip. Ruggs' Corvette slammed into the victim's Toyota Rav4 and killed both her and a dog. Ruggs was transferred to jail on Tuesday and is set to appear in court on Wednesday.

It's a shame he made this mistake and now it's likely to cost him his football career. The Raiders had no other choice but to release him and after these eye-opening details were revealed, the situation looks to be getting worse for Ruggs.
