The drama surrounding Antonio Brown continues to unravel before the season begins with the latest altercation between Brown and GM Mike Mayock. According to Vic Tafur of The Athletic, Vontaze Burfict was one of the players who separated Browns and Mayock.

Earlier on Thursday, reports came out that the Raiders were considering a suspension for the disgruntled receiver after the way he handled a discussion with the Raiders GM. According to Ian Rapoport, Brown told Mayock that he'd ‘hit him in the face' and punted a football.

Ironically, Burfict—of all players—was one of Brown's teammates that had to prevent the incident from escalating. As some may know, Burfict and Brown had their own run-in when the linebacker delivered a nasty hit to Brown; when they played for the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The hit left Brown with a concussion and there seemed to be bad blood between the two. Earlier this offseason, Brown and Burfict seemed to settle their difference for the good of the team.

However, now Brown is creating even more theatrics that are causing distractions in Oakland. We are now seeing why the Steelers were willing to part ways with the All-Pro wideout for just a third and a fifth-round pick.

This situation began with Brown posting his displeasure of the team's $54,000 fine on social media for missing practices in training camp due to his helmet controversy. Mayock took an issue with it and the rest is history.

If Brown is suspended for Monday night's game against the Denver Broncos, the receiver will forfeit $30 million in guaranteed money.

Therefore, we could see the end of Brown's tenure in Oakland end before he ever puts on a uniform.
